Ribbon-cutting ceremony marks a major milestone in bringing high-speed connectivity to the Uvalde community
Last week, under beautiful Texas skies, Resound Networks officially celebrated our arrival in Uvalde with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Uvalde Chamber of Commerce. The event marked more than just the launch of a new service area—it represented a significant step forward in our mission to close the digital divide and bring both connection and community to the people of Uvalde.
A Community Celebration
The celebration brought together local officials, business leaders, healthcare representatives, and community members for an afternoon focused on connectivity and its transformative potential for Uvalde. After a warm welcome from the Chamber of Commerce, attendees enjoyed:
- Remarks from state and local leaders on the importance of rural connectivity
- A demonstration of Resound’s high-speed internet capabilities
- A delicious lunch catered by local Uvalde businesses
- A guided caravan tour to one of Resound’s nearby WiFi towers
