Network Management Practices

At Resound Networks, we are committed to providing high-quality, reliable internet service. To ensure a stable network environment for all our customers, we employ reasonable network management practices. These practices are designed to protect the integrity of our network, ensure efficient traffic management, and maintain the best possible service quality for our users.

I. Blocking

Resound Networks does not block or otherwise prevent lawful content from reaching our customers. Except for instances involving reasonable network management practices or legal obligations, customers have open access to all lawful internet resources.

II. Throttling

We do not throttle, slow down, or impair lawful internet traffic based on the content, application, service, or user. In some cases, we may engage in reasonable traffic management practices to ensure network efficiency, especially during peak usage times or network congestion.

III. Affiliated Prioritization

Resound Networks does not prioritize or favor traffic from affiliated entities. All internet traffic is treated equally, regardless of its source, and we do not employ techniques like traffic shaping, prioritization, or resource reservation to benefit affiliates.

IV. Paid Prioritization

We do not engage in any form of paid prioritization. Resound Networks does not accept monetary or other considerations in exchange for favoring certain internet traffic over others.

V. Service Availability & Network Congestion Management

While our services are based on bandwidth and network capabilities, Resound Networks reserves the right to offer subscribers more bandwidth than their subscribed package allows when network demand is low.

We continually enhance our network to avoid congestion issues. However, under extraordinary conditions—such as significant weather damage, fiber cuts, or other emergencies—network congestion may occur. During these events, we may temporarily manage traffic to ensure continued access for all customers. Affected users may experience reduced bandwidth during these rare instances, but such events are typically brief and uncommon. Critical services, such as those for public safety and first responders, may receive priority to ensure essential services remain accessible.

Resound Networks monitors network traffic for internal purposes such as service optimization, billing, and internal metrics. We do not use deep-packet inspection or share traffic data with third parties without customer consent unless required by law.

VI. Application-Specific Behavior

Resound Networks generally treats all lawful applications, protocols, and services identically. However, in some cases, we may limit or manage specific applications or types of traffic to maintain network stability and ensure a high-quality experience for all users. For example, we reserve the right to block or limit applications, protocols, or ports that we determine may pose a risk to network security, violate legal requirements, or degrade service for other customers.

Certain high-bandwidth applications, including video and voice services, may be subject to reasonable network management measures to prevent network disruption or degradation.

VII. Device Attachment Rules

Resound Networks permits customers to connect their own devices to the network, provided these devices comply with our Service Agreement and do not harm the network or other users. Devices must be lawful, and their use should not negatively impact network performance. If a device is found to interfere with the network, we reserve the right to limit or block its access.

If you need assistance with installing or configuring third-party devices, Resound Networks provides technical support. Depending on your service package, additional fees for support services may apply.

VIII. Security

Resound Networks takes security seriously and has implemented reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect the integrity of the network. We monitor for security threats and may take action to prevent activities that could harm our network or users.

Examples of prohibited activities include, but are not limited to, denial-of-service attacks, unauthorized IP address scanning, and excessive failed login attempts. We may block any traffic, ports, protocols, or devices that we determine could pose a risk to network security or expose us to potential legal liability. If security threats are detected, Resound Networks will attempt to work collaboratively with the customer to resolve the issue when possible. However, we reserve the right to block or restrict traffic as a precautionary security measure, without advance notice.
